in chess puzzles, generally the person who's turn it is is who is on the bottom.  This puzzle has black to move but board is oriented with white facing down, creating confusion with what squares the pawn is threatening.

Would be beneficial to indicate the goal of the puzzle as well, as capturing a king would be what people expect when playing a game like this, but the goal here is to capture all of the pieces.

Thanks for your feedback!

There is a hint in the top right corner which tells what squares the pawn is threatening.

I basically assumed that the pawn attacks upwards because it faces upwards

I was surprised by the complexity of this seemingly short puzzle. Very cool :)

this is a struggle to play on mobile

I made myself this little spreadsheet cheatsheet to and found the perfect spot to get the King. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

... and only then discovered I need to take every piece. ๐Ÿฅฒ

You gotta love the MLG glasses of the pawn

You know, the thing that was funny like 25 years ago or so ?

*starts an argument in the comments* it's still funny if it's employed well (with purpose, rather than to be lolrandom)

I think it makes sense too because the Pawn is really weak compared to the King

It is interesting how the ungainlyness of a knight hides key moves in plain sight.

someone without chess knowledge probably would have found that faster
